The first step is to complete our wedding cake enquiry form. If your date is available Kelly will contact you to discuss your requirements. A €100 booking deposit will then be required to confirm your date. After your booking fee has been received Kelly will liase with you to create the cake of your dreams.
We recommend you contact us as soon as your wedding date is confirmed. Due to the limited number of wedding cake bookings we can take, we advise you contact us at least 12 months in avance for summer or bank holiday weddings and 6-8 months in advance at other times
A non-refundable €100 booking fee is required to secure your date. This must be paid within 2 weeks of your quotation. The balance of your cake must be paid for at least 10 days before your wedding date.

A taster box of our most popular flavours will be delivered to your chosen address for you to sample. Taster boxes are dispatched every 2 months. If you have paid your €100 booking fee there is no charge for the taster box. If you would like to try a taster box before committing to a booking there will be a €25 charge.
Unless otherwise specified all Kelly Lou cakes contain dairy, gluten (wheat) and eggs and are made in an environment that handles nuts, soya and alcohol.
Our kitchen is not an allergy-free kitchen, and so we cannot guarantee that allergy-friendly cakes will not contain trace amounts of these ingredients due to the nature of production.
If a severe allergy is known it is the customer’s responsibility to inform that guest not to eat the cake due to the possibility of trace allergens.
Kelly Lou Cakes accepts no liability for customers suffering allergic reactions from eating our cakes.
It is the customer’s responsibility to make Kelly Lou Cakes aware of any special dietary requirements that may need to be accommodated in the making of their cake.
All booking fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable except in exceptional circumstances, for example, if we are unable to fulfil your order as agreed.
Any amendments need to be made 4 weeks before the wedding date to allow for changes to our schedule, and cannot be guaranteed. Significant amendments may incur an additional cost, and the balance will be adjusted accordingly.
In the event of a cancellation by yourselves, charges are as follows;
Any work already undertaken towards your order, including ordering in supplies specifically to meet your order will incur further charges.
In the event of a wedding postponement, the payment due remains the same as a cancellation. If you postpone within 90 days of the wedding half the remaining cost will be due on the original payment date. If you postpone less than one month prior to the wedding, the outstanding balance remains payable on the original due date. Subject to availability we will carry any monies paid forward to the new wedding date. Please be aware that we will only do this on one occasion. Any further postponements will be classed as a cancellation. Postponements may also be subject to an increase in costs, in line with the annual cost of inflation, dependant on the duration of the postponement.
Kelly Lou Cakes has the right to refund in whichever way they deem suitable, including vouchers and aims to refund within a month of cancellation.
Kelly Lou Cakes has the right to not refund at all dependent on circumstances. All refunds will be carefully considered by Kelly Lou Cakes
We deliver within a 2 hour radius of Portlaoise.
While we love to use pictures you send as inspiration, we rather not exactly copy another cake design, preferring to give you a special and unique cake.

If you prefer to speak to one of our team in person you can call in to see us in our café where you can order cakes and enjoy our fresh bakes with a cup of freshly brewed tea or ground-to-order coffee, or take them away to enjoy at home.
